About changes in the legislation on local self-government

The Law of the Republic of Tatarstan No. 83-ZRT of December 2, 2020 "On Amendments to Articles 28 and 33 of the Law of the Republic of Tatarstan "On Highways and Road Activities in the Territory of the Republic of Tatarstan" was adopted.

Law No. 83-ZRT clarifies certain issues of granting a special permit for the movement of large-sized vehicles on highways: from July 21, 2021, this permit will be issued only by the federal executive authority that performs the functions of providing public services and managing state property in the field of road management. From July 21, 2021, the permit will also be issued in electronic form, and from January 1, 2023, the paper permit will not be issued.

Starting from December 3, 2020, the procedure for charging tolls on public toll roads of regional and local significance, as well as toll sections of such highways, is approved respectively by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan and local self-government bodies in accordance with the requirements established by Part 12 of Article 40 of Federal Law No. 257-FZ of November 8, 2007 "On Highways and Road Activities in the Russian Federation and on Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of the Russian Federation".

Law No. 83-ZRT was published on the Official Portal of Legal Information of the Republic of Tatarstan on December 3, 2020.
